Kungsfisk is more than just a seafood restaurant—it’s a journey that began over a decade ago. Our founder, moved to Sweden in 2010 with a passion for food and travel. For years, he ran a successful travel company, introducing visitors to the beauty of Scandinavia.
In 2012, he opened his first restaurant in Karlstad, specializing in authentic Chinese cuisine. It quickly became a favorite among tourists from Asia, welcoming tens of thousands of guests every year. Renowned for its flavors and hospitality, it was celebrated as one of the best tourist restaurants in all of Scandinavia.
But when the world changed in 2020, so did his vision. Seeking a new challenge, he moved to Stockholm and founded Kungsfisk—a seafood restaurant dedicated to real flavors, high quality, and affordable prices. Inspired by Japanese tempura techniques, our batter is incredibly airy and light, creating a crispy, delicate texture. Every sauce and pickle is homemade, crafted with care to enhance the natural flavors of the sea.
